The safari consists of a gentle stroll around the streets of the city observing and discovering letters which are part of Madrid’s typographic landscape. This time we will walk through the Conde Duque area, which is full of typographic history and curiosities. No knowledge of typography is required, you only need to be open to discovering new things. Don´t forget to bring a phone with a camera so that you can capture the treasures of the tour.

«Caligrafía española» and «Caligrafía hoy» Exhibitions.
Guided visit to these two exhibitions housed in the National Library of Spain with their curators: Jose María Ribagorda, José Ramón Penela and Roberto Gamonal, members of the collective Unos Tipos Duros. A perfect chance to learn all about these unique shows which reveal many details about the history of our country.
In December the National Library will open its doors to us so that we can enjoy a very special edition of Aperitipo focussed on Spanish calligraphy. We will have the opportunity to debate with the exhibition curators about the current scene, trends, influential calligraphers and also discover the tradition and legacy of Spanish calligraphy. And all of this in such an emblematic building, surrounded by true masterpieces and, as usual, we will tuck into our delicious Spanish omelettes!
Typo mad is a festival and we of course have loads to celebrate! On November 6th we start all our activities with a party at Dimad were we all meet each other and have fun in the best company. We will also have the opening of the Type Directors Club exhibition, the first public activity of the festival.
